Bouldering, Stewardship, Bluegrass, n' Beer! Join the American Alpine Club and our local and national industry partners for the Western Region's Fall Highball Craggin' Classic to be held in Bishop, CA on November 9-10, 2012.
This will be a very special Eastside event kicking off on the evening of Friday, November 9th with a showing of the REEL Rock Film Tour at Mill Creek Station. On the morning of Saturday, November 10th join us in the Buttermilks for a free local breakfast from Great Basin Bakery provided by Wilson's Eastside Sports and coffee provided by Black Sheep Coffee Roasters. When your belly is full, get your hands dirty during our Buttermilk Stewardship and Adopt-a-Crag project hosted by Friends of the Inyo, the USFS, and the Access Fund. Following our work project, professional climber Matt Wilder will be present and bouldering around with volunteers before we reconvene at Mill Creek Station for an evening reception hosted by New Belgium Brewing Co. and a silent auction benefiting the Western Region's Live Your Dream Grant. Matt Wilder will put on a rad slideshow and we'll cap it off with a bluegrass performance by our musical guest, The Trespassers! Don't miss the Eastside's climbing event of the year!
IMPORTANT: To attend the full event, make sure to book tickets for BOTH the Friday Reel Rock Tour AND the Saturday Climber's Reception featuring Matt Wilder and the Trespassers. Space is limited! The first 90 tickets will be sold in advance online with the remaining spaces to be sold at the door on a first come, first served basis! Get your tickets today!
