a.Muse Atelier presents SHOW & TELL SALON, the first in a new online literary salon series. Our April show celebrates two Canadian authors, Andrew BINKS and Lynn F. THOMPSON, who recently reconnected after 50 years!

Our 90-minute show will include new writing by Binks and Thompson and a conversation about reigniting the creative spirit to achieve one's literary and artistic goals.

Musical offerings by violinist Craig FRY and guitarist Paul LUCAS. Paul may also treat us to a short read from his memoir, "A Guitar Player on the Yukon Border."

Plus, an appearance by the Celtic-World-Party-Folk-Rock Band, The WHISKEYDICKS.

And much, much more!

Special thanks to writer/performer/teacher Ann Randolph for being the grandest muse of all! (https://www.annrandolph.com)

Join us for an incredible evening, including YOU and your Wild Creative self!

BACKGROUND:

Lynn T. found a note she made of Andrew's name on a December 1972 page in her Five Year Diary when Andrew was 14 and Lynn was 15. They attended Ridgemont High School in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and were on the Ottawa Kingfish Swim Team. When Lynn found Andrew online, she discovered they live within three hours of each other in Ontario and are both writers. So, she sent information about Ann Randolph's online "Your Story Matters: Unmute Yourself," and Andrew joined. Now they are getting to know each other again through their writings.

That's where they met Lori SHANTZIS, aka a.Muse, who reminds us that today is our newest opportunity to have a happy and fulfilling creative life.

Craig Fry, Paul Lucas, and Mike Bell of The Whiskeydicks are all musicians inspired by a.Muse's new home in Point Roberts, aka "Almost Canada."

CREDITS:

Andrew Binks is an author ("The Summer Between" and "Strip") and actor, wonderer and wanderer who lives in the middle of nowhere, Canada, with his poodle and partner, in that order. (https://andrewbinks.ca/)

Lynn F. Thompson, collaborative editor, writer, and podcaster, is a nomad who landed in a gorgeous apartment in Ontario where she greets the gift of each new day.

Paul Lucas has four albums to his credit and is featured on many recordings. He has played with artists ranging from Albert Collins and Bo Diddley to Ben Tucker and Marcus Printup. Known for his two books on Jazz Improvisation for CP/Belwin, he continues to produce materials for jazz guitar and related subjects. (https://www.paullucasmusic.com/)

The Whiskeydicks brew fiery fiddle, titillating trumpet, giddy guitar, busty bass, delicious drums, and a quaffable quartet of voices to tell legends of good times past and infuse classic songs in ways one would never imagine. (https://www.thewhiskeydicks.ca/)

a.Muse, aka Lori Shantzis (www.linkedin.com/in/lori-shantzis) has been inspiring visual, musical, literary, and performing artists for almost three decades. Born in Hollywood, California, she spent most of her life in San Francisco before packing up her flying circus and moving to Point Roberts, WA, aka "Almost Canada." In addition to producing salons with her own muse--violinist and sculptor Craig Fry (https://www.discogs.com/artist/933792-Craig-Fry), Lori is in the second draft of her third novel, "Boundary Bay: This Complicated Eden." She credits her creative resilience to Craig, whose music, art, and love constantly inspire her. Show & Tell Salon is just one of their collaborative projects.
