¡Flamenco al Rojo Vivo!
Guitarist Tony Ybarra and Dancer Wendy Castellanos present
"¡Flamenco al Rojo Vivo!" at the world famous El Paseo Restaurant in Downtown Santa Barbara. June 2nd 6:30pm. $15 cover All ages welcome.
This show is a collaboration of original music by Ybarra and Flamenco dance by Castellanos. Dances to be performed are Guajira, Tangos, Alegiras, Sevillanas, Bulerias and other modern Flamenco compositions. This show will include a "Jam" session where guests are invited to dance Sevillanas and Rumbas.

About Wendy Castellanos
Wendy is a versatile dancer and choreographer with Classical, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz, Flamenco and Latin Dance training. She is a graduate of UCLAs Department of World Arts and Cultures where she studied dance and multi-disciplinary stage production. Wendy has also studied in Spain at the legendary Amor de Dios studio in Madrid and in the South of Spain in Sevilla and Granada. In Los Angeles, Wendy has performed in the most prominent venues in the city. From theater to the "Tablao," Wendy regularly graced the stages of El Cid, Tapas and Cafe Sevilla, she has danced in the legendary Forever Flamenco series at The Fountain Theater, danced for Los Angeles Opera at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion between 2006-2019, choreographed and danced for Opera Santa Barbara for their 2016-2017 season, has been a Flamenco showgirl at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and toured with Flamenco Express aboard the Caribbean Princess. Wendy currently teaches in Ventura at Namba Performing Arts Space and produces a Flamenco Music and Dance series called "Flamenco in the 805."
About Tony Ybarra
Guitarist Tony Ybarra was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA. He is one of the most sought-after Spanish/Latin guitarists on the west coast. He is an active composer and has 6 albums to his name with a 7th due in 2022. His music has been featured in movies and tv shows including Dexter, Madam Secretary, and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Tony has performed across the United States as well as in Europe and Hong Kong. He is currently a featured guitarist at Ty Warners San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito CA. Ybarra has performed with Flamenco virtuoso Adam del Monte, jazz composer Maria Schneider, and Grammy winners Josh Groban, Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald. Most recently, Tony is the guitarist and arranger for Michael McDonalds upcoming acoustic album due to be released in 2022. The first single "You Belong to Me" features Tony Ybarra with special guest Spanish singer Buika. Tony received his Bachelors and Masters degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music where he studied with Jazz master Joe Diorio and Flamenco Maestro Adam Del Monte.
