Soirée of the Old Town Music and Poetry ( Vece starogradske muzike i poezije)
St SAVA FRIENDS OF SERBIAN CULTURE ASSOCIATION (FOSCA) organizes its first event: a Soirée of the Old Town Music and Poetry (Vece starogradske muzike i poezije).
The Soirée will be held at the Concert Hall of The Liederkranz Foundation, Inc, 6 E 87th Street, New York City (3rd floor) on February 1st 2020, starting at 7:30 PM. Doors will open at 7 PM.
There will be a reception and a networking event after the performances.
We are happy to announce Jovana Hadzic-Loncarevic & Boris Loncarevic, and Vukan & Srdjan (the famous hallmark of the Kafana music evenings), together with many other wonderful performers.
Starogradska muzika is a term for the urban music in Serbia at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century. The performances will bring you back to the Serbian towns and bohemian quarters of that time.
