Mägi Ensemble 2nd Annual Gala and Fundraiser
Join us for a wonderful evening of music with drinks and light appetizers as we perform some old favorites, some new selections, and introduce the new members of the ensemble. This concert is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we need your support to keep our momentum going!
The Mägi Ensemble was honored to be able travel to Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia this summer to perform our new CD, visit our esteemed namesake, Ester Mägi, and to participate in historic national song festivals in Latvia and Lithuania in 2018, celebrating the centennial of independence of the Baltic nations.
During our tour we recorded several selections on location in historic recording locations in Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius.
Our plans for this season start with expanding the repertoire performed by the ensemble by expanding our membership and adding some fantastic singers to the group. We'll be in several concerts in the Seattle area, including a concert of Pteris Vasks music, with the composer himself in attendance
We'll also be finishing the recording and production of our third album and planning a North American tour.

The Mägi Ensemble performs and records compositions from the Baltic region that are rarely heard outside of that area, and in some cases have never before been recorded. It is important to us that we be ambassadors for the choral music that galvanized the people of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania as they earned their independence. In order to continue our mission, we need your support!
Mägi Ensemble is fiscally sponsored by Shunpike.
