This Present Pilgrimage: PopUp Choir Welcomes Chris Aspaas
Pilgrimage: A journey of moral or spiritual significance As Chris writes, "Today, we are a country divided with no clear path to healing the rifts between us. Through readings and music by Bach, Arnesen, Gesualdo, Gjeilo, former PopUp Choir director, Andrew Steffen, and Chris himself, our program acknowledges this distance and offers inspirations that we can reconcile differences and plant the seeds for a lasting peace."
Dr. Christopher Aspaas is held in the highest regard by choral singers nationwide. He currently serves as Director of Choral Activities and Associate Professor of Music at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth where he leads TCU's premier vocal ensembles, oversees the graduate choral conducting program, guests conducts nearly everywhere and (somehow) finds time for to be an active composer, tenor soloist and devoted husband and father. In Minnesota, Chris made his mark as an associate professor at St. Olaf College and Magnum Chorum's beloved artistic director from 2008-13.
DISCOUNTED SALES END AT 6 PM ON JUNE 9TH. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR.
