Internationally acclaimed pianist, composer, writer, historian, and arranger Tom Roberts is one of the leading exponents of early jazz piano. He's played everywhere, from New Yorks Carnegie Hall and the Tonight Show to the major jazz clubs in New Orleans French Quarter.

Tom arranged and performed the music for Martin Scorsese's film The Aviator, the NPR show Riverwalk Jazz, Wynton Marsalis, and Jazz in July with Dick Hyman. He has composed new scores for many silent films, most recently for Rick Sebak and the Emmy award-winning Nebby series for WQED. Tom was also pianist and musical director for the late Leon Redbone.

Tom is the founder and conductor of the Allegheny City Ragtime Orchestra and creator of The Hot Club of Pittsburgh: a group where people gather in public spaces to listen to 78 rpm shellac records and hear music that they would normally never experience.
