Holiday Concert with Elias Lammam & Friends
Celebrate the holiday season with beautiful world music performed by the advanced music students of world-renowned Lebanese accordionist, conductor and composer, Elias Lammam, currently based in Santa Cruz, CA. The Santa Cruz Arabic Music Ensemble, directed by Maestro Lammam, will perform classic popular tunes from the greatest Arab singers and composers of the 20th century, Oum Kholtoum, Fairuz, Abdel Halim Hafez, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, the Rahbani brothers, and more. This music is beloved by many fans around the world for listening and/or dancing. Join the fun with Maestro Lammam & friends to get ready to ring in the new year!

About Elias Lammam:
Elias Lammam, graduate of the Lebanese Conservatory of Music, is widely regarded as the Arab world's greatest microtonal accordionist performing today, and an expert in Arabic music history, theory, composition and arranging. The former composer for Dubai TV and bandleader of the popular Escoba Nightclub in Dubai, Mr. Lammam currently teaches microtonal accordion, Arabic percussion, voice, and big band ensemble classes in San Jose, Santa Cruz and Capitola, and private music lessons worldwide on Skype. He performs throughout the U.S. at festivals, workshops, weddings, concert halls and more. His accordion recordings can be heard on the discography of the late singer Wadi el Safi, popular singer Rageb Alame, and many other popular singers of the Middle East, as well as on the soundtrack of the 2009 independent film Amreeka, and on his own 1998 independent CD release, Selsebil, and various CDs of his brothers, Georges and Antoine Lammam.
