An Evening with Emily Drinker at The Living Room
Emily Drinker is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Philadelphia. She blends folk, soul, and pop with live looping. In 2018, Emily was featured by NPR Music in their Tiny Desk on the Road tour as an opening act for Naia Izumi. In 2017 she released her debut EP, performed to a sold-out crowd at Bourbon and Branch in Philly, won the Philadelphia Songwriters Project contest, and performed at Firefly Music Festival.
"Drinker emerges as an artist whose ethereal tones could calm the wildest of storms."
"This Philly singer-songwriter debuts with "Run The Race," a poppy collection of acoustic-forward songs that mixes in countrified yearning ("Two Minds") with infectious Soweto-styled licks as filtered through "Graceland" (the title track) and shimmering vocal harmonies..."
