Ana Masry Concert featuring Special Guest Karim Nagi
The Ana Masry Band and acclaimed artist Karim Nagi cordially invite you to enjoy a night of authentic Egyptian music, celebrating our rich and diverse culture.
Inspired by the original Ana Masry ("I am Egyptian") musical group established in Cairo in 2007, a group of Egyptians in America joined together in 2011 to found a DC-based branch to help spread understanding and appreciation of the multi-layered Egyptian identity in all its diversity, through song, music, poetry, and more.
For the first time in DC, the Ana Masry Band we will be joined by Boston-based Egyptian percussionist/folk dancer Karim Nagi (more about him at: www.karimnagi.com). As a longstanding supporter of Ana Masry and its mission, Karim has already collaborated as a guest star with the Ana Masry Band in concerts in both Egypt and Montreal.
