San Francisco Yellow Bike Project Presents 2nd Annual Upcycle Ball
The San Francisco Yellow Bike Project (SFYBP) presents the 2nd Annual Upcycle Ball- Parts Drive and Fundraiser on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 6:00pm  12:00am at the SOMArts Cultural Center located at 934 Brannan Street in San Francisco. This annual event will rally cyclists from across the Bay Area who supports both our local bicycle community and non-profit organizations. Discounted presale tickets, and the Yellow Wheel Package (presales only, limited quantity, a $40 value) are on sale now: http://sfybpupcycleball.btp.me. Tickets will be available at the door for $10, or bring a complete bicycle (working or not) for free entry on the night of the event.

From 6:00pm  10:00pm, SFYBP is slated to debut their Goupon-fueled mobile bicycle shop where SFYBP president, Nathan Woody will demonstrate a day-in-the-life of their volunteer-run workshop. Also enjoy, a community-based silent auction, custom live screen printing by Like Minded People, make-your-own custom buttons & spoke-cards, a DIY graphic printing zone, walking photo booth, tasty bites from MamakSF, a variety of Speakeasy Ales & Lagers, and more!

When the clock hits 10:00pm, the event will quickly transform into SFYBP's take on the ultimate two-hour dance party social. Dance to booty-dropping beats spun by DJ Jays One (www.soundcloud.com/jays-one), socialize with your new and old friends, upcycle and be merry. DJ Jays One has spent years in the California club circuit honing his razor sharp ability to scratch, remix and rock a party right with the biggest names in the industry today. He is considered by many to be one of the Bay Area's premier DJ talents; mixing everything from club favorites to deep house driving dance floors across the states to a barely controllable fervor.

The SFYBP is a volunteer-powered community bike shop that transforms donated bicycles, parts, and other cycling resources into functional bikes for the SF Bay Area. 100% of Upcycle Ball proceeds raise funds to help fuel SFYBP workshops, educational events, and community outreach throughout the year. Find out more about the project at www.sfyellowbike.org. Like SFYBP at www.facebook.com/sfyellowbike. And get instant SFYBP updates at www.twitter.com/sfyellowbike.

The SFYBP thanks their Upcycle Ball sponsors: Speakeasy Ales & Lagers, www.goodbeer.com, and SOMArts Cultural Center, www.somarts.org. The Upcycle Ball is presented by SOMArts Cultural Center as part of the Affordable Space Program supported by the San Francisco Arts Commission/ Hotel Tax Fund.

Volunteer Opportunity: Want to get into the event for free? We need your help! There are a number of volunteer shifts available from load-in to load-out, and ticket sales to bicycle experience ambassadors.
