Vallejo Choral Society 100th Season Opening Concert - Dreaming
Mark your calendars! Vallejo Choral Society embarks on its centennial season with Dreaming, under the direction of Artistic Director, Andrew Brown, with Collaborative Pianist, Norman Ortiz, and featuring harpist Wendy Tamis. Join us as we celebrate 100 years of community, love, and life through song, Saturday, December 16, at 7pm at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Benicia, and Sunday, December 17, at 3pm, at First Presbyterian in Vallejo.
The concert program highlights include Benjamin Brittens A Ceremony of Carols, Tchaikovskys Cherubic Hymn No. 1, Stanfords Coelos ascendit hodie, Niedmanns Lullee, Lullay, and Morten Lauridsens O Magnum Mysterium. The Vallejo Choral Society Chamber Choir also performs works by Messiaen, Victoria, Pärt, Suor Leonora dEste, and Lobo. The audience is invited to join the choir in singing a few Christmas favorites, too.
