Show Style: Comedy
In this Norm Foster comedy, set in 1953 at Pigeon Lake Hidden Cabins, army vet Jack Forrester's quiet senses are assaulted by his next door cabin renter - the brash and liberated Emma Currey - a big-city girl who arranges jazz music and is looking for a little solitude in which to get some work done. The two are polar opposites: Emma is vivacious and talkative where Jack is mysterious and reserved. Intrigued by his silence, Emma relentlessly pursues Jack in an effort to get him to share his secrets with her, all the while trying to hide her own dark past.
Actors Peter Cook and Carolynn Roberts join us from the Laurentian region of Quebec to bring these hilarious and unforgettable characters to life on the Royal Theatre Stage.
