Grab your favorite adventure partner and join us for Mountains of Storms at the Tahoe Art Haus on October 19th, 7pm, presented by Patagonia.
Mountains of Storms documents the 1968 road trip adventure of Yvon Chouinard, Doug Tompkins, Dick Dorworth, Chris Jones and Lito Tejada-Flores. Piled into an old van, the group embarked on a 5,000 mile journey from California to Patagonia in order to put up a new route on the rarely attempted Cerro Fitz Roy.
Mountain of Storms documents the road trip that changed the lives of each person in the group. Each one of these men would continue as pioneers of the outdoor industry, stewards of the environment and land conservationists.
Noted ski racer, coach and journalist Dick Dorworth will be our special guest, recounting this journey and answering questions after the show.
Tickets are $12 pre-sale beginning on 9.19 and $15 at the door. This is an ALL ages event but pleaes note that you can ONLY PURCHCASE TICKETS ONLINE. Come early for good seats and tasty libations. Please call the shop with questions (530) 583-6917.
