Bushels & Barrels Local Food, Wine & Beer Festival
The Bushels and Barrels Local Food, Wine and Beer Festival was created to celebrate all things great and local in Southwest Virginia! Bushels & Barrels will held June 17-18, 2016 and will host a variety of items from around the region including food, wineries, breweries, arts, crafts, and live music! **Be sure to read about our VIP Ticket options!
Food vendors will be serving up delicious meals made with local ingredients, artists and crafters will be selling their locally made wares. Farmers & Producers from around the region will be selling locally grown and produced items, and an array live music will be showcased!
Wineries from around the region will be providing tastings and purchases for the event. Wineries include Stanburn Winery, Preston Ridge Winery, The Homeplace Vineyard. Devil's Backbone will keep the beer flowing.
SATURDAY MUSIC:
Music for the main event on Saturday June 18th, kicks off with "RINADLI FLYING CIRCUS" an eclectic blend of indie blues and jazz-rock, with a dash of swamp gypsy from Greensboro, NC.
Headlining the event, Brooklyn-based Americana/Alt-Country band YARN weaves country, rock, blues and more into a genre-defying blend that has captured the attention of fans and critics alike. YARN weaves roots music idioms into a fresh sound that turns on hipsters and fans of country music alike, with technically impressive song-crafting and universal tales from the road of life.
A groovey little Blues boogie band from Southwest, Viringia, SLICK JR. & THE REACTORS will close out the day with their nitty, gritty blues guaranteed to make your hips sway.
FRIDAY MUSIC:
VIP tickets include admission to the Friday evening Pre-Party and includes 2 complimentary beverage tickets, light appetizers and lots of fun leading up to the main event on Saturday.VIP ticket also includes a 2016 Festival T-Shirt!
**A Limited amount of FRIDAY PRE-PARTY only tickets will be available in addition to the VIP tickets. **
VIP Ticket Holders will be invited to the VIP Pre-Party which will held Friday June 17th at Reynolds Homestead from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. OMBREW, hailing from Stuart, VA, will be opening the Pre-Party featuring tunes from Old-Time to The Blues, Classic Rock to Bluegrass, or Alternative to World Music, these guys seek to capture and present the true Spirit of the song in a style which is all their own. Closing the night will Winston-Salem based,BIG DADDY LOVE,an Appalachian Rock band with blends of rock, bluegrass, southern soul, and psychedelic jams.
Bushels & Barrels Local Food, Wine & Beer festival is a partnership among three non-profit organizations in Patrick County: Reynolds Homestead, a Commonwealth Campus Center of Virginia Tech; the Patrick County Skate Park Association, and One Family Productions, producers of Front Porch Fest. The mission of Bushels & Barrels is to mutually promote the economic development of our local food, wine, and beer producers, generate more public awareness for the local products available in our area, and increase tourism to the local area with a signature event.
