2016 Steamboat Hockey Classic
The Steamboat Hockey Classic is a fundraising event benefiting youth hockey in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Set in North Americas top-rated family ski destination, our charity hockey game featuring NHL alumni greats is the cornerstone of the festivities as we celebrate the rich heritage, drive awareness and raise funds to grow the greatest game on earth.
Our third annual event March 18th and 19th, 2016 will be the best yet as we welcome NHL greats from the Original 6 franchises. With strong connections to these markets, fans visiting Steamboat will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness and interact with players throughout the weekend.
We are pleased to welcome alumni from the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadians and 1980 USA Olympic Hockey Team. Their contributions, along with our partners at the NHLPA and all participating sponsors, will culminate in a hockey experience expanding the sport locally and abroad as we celebrate all that is hockey.
From attending the auction party featuring one-of-a kind sports memorabilia and unique experience packages to bidding on the chance to skate with NHLs best, hockey fans will have access to moments and items commemorating hockeys inspiring heritage both past and present. An entertaining skills competition, youth skate, and charity hockey game showcase the legendary talents of these athletes that roll into the crescendo of the weekends celebration with a benefit concert featuring Todd Park Mohr of Big Head Todd and the Monsters.
