The Balboa Theatre is presenting a unique event melding America's only two indigenous art forms, JAZZ & FILM. Our program features a live performance of the Jimmy Ryan Balboa Be Bop Band and screening of the 1995 Academy Award nominated documentary film, "A GREAT DAY IN HARLEM". Narrated by Quincy Jones, this amazing film by Jean Bach documents the historic gathering in 1958 of 57 Jazz stars from all eras for Art Kane's now world famous photograph.
