Date: Saturday, December 13 Time: 2:00 pm PT Led by Jeff Schoening In-person and on Zoom
Wonder about how Tibetan Buddhists have located themselves in time and space? This presentation, based on classical Indo-Tibetan sources, discusses the origins of the universe, the process by which it begins, develops, and dissolves, and the way the universe is laid out, from single world systems to cosmically vast ones. We will examine the career of kyamuni Buddha, from the time his inclination to enlightenment was awakened until his final enlightenment. Finally, we will consider the way we in Seattle fit into this Tibetan Buddhist structuring of the universe.
