KASLO GUITARFEST 2023
Stay healthy and safe. During these unprecedented times, our board and faculty are working to ensure the long-term success of our festival. We look forward -- sometime soon -- to welcoming guitar lovers from near and far.
It has been a pleasure getting to know many of you at our wonderful festival, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Kaslo GuitarFest in future years. Please stay tuned for updates about Kaslo GuitarFest 2022.
Our 2019 faculty included Daniel Bolshoy, Iliana Matos, Michael Partington, Rita Deane, Alec Pearson, and Luis Medina Rodriguez. Students from across the continent spent an amazing week making music together, attending lessons, workshops, masterclasses, and performances.
Kaslo Guitar Fest is a week-long educational opportunity for classical guitar students at all skill levels. Masterclasses, private lessons, guitar orchestra, small ensembles, guitar technique, fingerboard geography, and sight reading workshops will be offered to the festival participants, as well as concerts that are also open to the public.
Students will gain confidence, new techniques, and musical proficiency by way of concentrated instruction and practice during the week. Workshops by all members of the faculty provide a variety of learning opportunities tailored to specific levels. Public concerts by members of the faculty and a wrap-up concert by GuitarFest participants will do much to attract interest in classical guitar performance and enhance opportunities for the participants.
