After an epic year of shows in 2018, were not letting up as we roll into this new year!
Starting off 2019 on a high note, were extremely humbled to host both LSB *and* DRS for their premier performance in Portland! With multiple recent releases at the tops of the charts, (as well as many years playing side-by-side), these two are amazing performers. DRS alone has inspired a style of vocals all his own the past 20 yearsand his voice is one of the most widely recognized across the drum and bass landscape. Portland is in for a real treat with LSB and DRS, who bring so much to the very style of drum and bass we celebrate at Juice Drumandbass!

Born Delroy Pottinger, MC DRS (from Del Rok Ski) is a British vocalist who has been greatly influential bringing together live song and the spoken word to the evolution of drum and bass music. Weaving textural straight-up-about-life vocals with a soulful edge, DRS has literally helped set the stage for emceeing to become its own art form in electronic music over the past 20 years.
Like many of the other innovative DnB artists of the early to mid-'90s, Pottinger grew up as a teenager interested in breakdancing and the accompanying hip-hop culture characterized by artists such as Run-D.M.C. and Kurtis Blow. From there, it was a natural shift to begin rapping at DJ parties. Soon, he was making demo tapes made with turntables, drum machines, and a microphone. By his late teens, he began attending local raves in Manchester and Liverpool before he eventually became the resident MC at Club Xtreme, where Pottinger first met LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad. Spotting his skill, it wasn't long before Conrad called him personally to ask him to join the Good Looking crew. Since that moment that he became MC DRS, he has quickly become known as one of the top MCs in the drum and bass game: first appearing on Blame's Logical Progression, Vol. 2 and then in a more prominent role on that same DJ's contribution to the Progression Sessions multiple releases. In addition to joining the Good Looking DJs during their live performances, DRS has also appeared on tracks such as Bukem's "Constellation" and also has become known for his role in the label's live band, Intense.
Alongside MC Conrad, DRS brought an emotive and accessible voice to the early sounds of DnB music initially through LTJ Bukem's Good Looking Records empire, emceeing live at their performances on a regular basis. While other MCs struggled to merge rapping with the complex rhythms of drum and bass in the late '90s, DRS had already proven himself as one of the few MCs able to comfortably vocalize alongside the best DJs/producers in the UK.
DRS ever-expanding career and list of vocal appearances on multiple artists works & labels is vast. His style is all his own, and hes brought that sound across genres to downtempo, hip hop, soul, drum and bass, and other forms of electronic music. Amidst constant guest appearances, performances and recordings, this prolific artist has also continuously produced music; including the release of albums Grown man biznezz, (2010) I Dont Usually like MCs but, (2012) and Mid Mic Crisis (released in 2015). His collaborations have spun him around the globe, producing tunes alongside other great artists like Calibre, Zero T, Sam Binga, Tali and Lynx, Tyler Daley and Children of Zeus, Jenna G, Patife, Utah Jazz, Lenzman, Alix Perez Big Bud, Marcus Intalex, and LSB, just to scratch the surface.
Cut to 2015 and 2016 where soul music is on the rise along with deep rolling baselines and sweet lyricspairing together Tyler Daley and LSB with DRS was a natural progression for new releases like Missing You and The View which still tip the charts today. With a continued roster of performances and releases in 2018, 2019 brings a special North American tour alongside LSB, ready to share their newest collaborations with live audiences across Canada and the US.

LSBs first forays into Drum & Bass happened in the early 2000s as the co-promoter of the hugely successful Bounce nights in Norwich. Cutting his teeth behind the decks as one of the resident DJs, he had already turned his hand to production by the time the team behind Bounce called it a day in 2007. His first productions surfaced on the now defunct imprints Bingo Beats (run by the legendary DJ Zinc), and Deep Soul Music in 2007-08. After a small hiatus spent honing his craft, he returned with fresh music in 2011 and his stock has been rising ever since.
All Of My Love / Rolling Sideways, released on BCees Spearhead Records, was the first of this new wave of productions and exhibited his new prowess in the studio and a more expressive, melodic sound that quickly became his trademark. Further releases on Spearhead quickly followed in the shape of the Overthinking EP and The Hurting. At the same time, he made a choice appearance on Artificial Intelligences Integral label with the hugely popular Rotary Motion / Serendipity 12 in collaboration with Technicolour & Komatic (now Technimatic of Shogun Audio).
By now, his blend of soulful musicality with dance floor weight had won him a myriad of fans across the globe. Gigging across the UK and Europe to captivated audiences in 2014, he still found the time to remix Serendipity for Integral, drop XLRS on Shogun Audio as part of their 10 year compilation album as well as feature on Tokyo Proses hugely popular Presence LP. A remix of London Elektricitys Vapour Trails followed as part of the Hospitality 2015 album before he featured on the sophomore DRS album Mid Mic Crisis, released in spring of 2015.
Rolling on to more great releases from the last several years: The View was the stand-out track from a stand-out album, with LSBs delicate instrumentation and arrangement perfectly complimenting Tyler Daleys haunting vocals and DRS insightful lyricism. Having already impressed Soul:r boss Marcus Intalex with his music, a solo EP for the label came in the shape of volume 3 of the popular Four:Fit series. The EPs 4 tracks found their way into the sets of countless A-List Djs, and showed a diversity in style, approach and a confidence
gained from the ease with which his music fitted into the discography of one of the most respected labels in D&B.
These recent collaborations with vocalists Tyler Daley and DRS have manifested a new-soul sound which is gaining attention through tracks like The View and Missing You; holding steady at the top of the soul and drum and bass charts the last two years. Now working on follow up projects for Soul:r producing remixes for some of the biggest labels in bass music, (as well as playing an ever-expanding number of DJ dates across the world), LSB is currently one of the brightest up and coming talents in drum and bass. Fans and listeners of this deep soulful drum and bass music are in for a real treat to see LSB and DRS perform together stateside.

After broad exposure to Jazz, Salsa, and R&B growing up, Donahue Holland aka Definition: Positive learned to appreciate the deeper side of some of these genres, and how it affects and drives emotion. His passion for music and mixing exploded in the Los Angeles rave scene during the mid 90s, nurturing this new love for electronic music. Once experiencing Drum and Bass, he shifted gears permanently; realizing that this style was the missing part of his musical soul.
Former resident DJ at Nova Express Cafe, Futurebound Radio, LA, and LiquidBass.net, Def Pos became an LA staple representing these unique sounds. Since relocating to Salem, guest appearances have included Bassdrive, Signal Flow Radio LA, DnBTV and countless live performances all around Oregon. Some of these heavy-hitters have included the Bachelors of Science, Artificial Intelligence, Ben Soundscape, ASIDES, Calculon, MC Question Mark, Doc Scott, Bladerunner, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, and LTJ Bukem.
Host of the weekly radio show Atmospheriq Tides, Thursdays 9-10pm PST on DNBRadio, and resident artist at JUICE! Drum and Bass nights in Portland, Def Pos delivers soulful grooves and funky baselines with a level of quality and style not to be missed.

Revival is an independent music producer hailing from Boise, Idaho, now a resident of Portland, Oregon. His status as a DJ is backed by twelve years of experience in music production and mixing, and his experience includes appearances at esteemed venues such as Lush Bar and Lounge, Linen Building, Knitting Factory Boise, Powerhouse, and VisualArtsCollective.
Specializing in Drum and Bass, Revival has produced many DnB tracks and mixes, which have been aired on college and online DnB stations. Supported recently by Stunna on his "GreenRoom DnB" show, Atlantic Connection on his "The Future Soul Show", and DBase on his Submission mixes. Most of his mixes are modish and light, as old school jazz and funk is frequently implemented into his tracks. Soulful vocals and rich samples also embellish his tunes with a sexy, retro vibe.
