Scarecrow Video presents SAVING BRINTON
In a farmhouse basement in the Iowa countryside, Michael Zahs makes a remarkable discovery of old film reels that belonged to Americas greatest barnstorming movie-man including a long lost film from Georges Méliés, undertaking a journey to save these irreplaceable cinematic treasures from turning to dust.
Michael Zahs, Collector and Historian, and John Richard, Director of Photography will appear in person for a post-film Q&A. This screening will also feature 10-minute Magic Lantern show!

A Cinephiles Delight The Hollywood Reporter
Its clear five minutes into Saving Brinton that the line between hoarder and preservationist really is fine. Its also clear that you need sensitive, humane filmmaking to insist that one is very different from the other. The average documentary would gawk. This one reclassifies: One persons pack rat is anothers collector. And Michael Zahs, this movies sturdily built, mighty bearded subject, does indeed collect. The New York Times
