Executive Director Tom Kane and Artistic Director Anthony Marino founded BrooklynONE in 2006. It was founded as a haven for emerging artists to hone their craft in a theatrical setting. Based in the heart of Bay Ridge Brooklyn, the company provides innovative, experimental and creative performances. Focusing on the importance of new and original works, BrooklynONE sets itself apart from other local theatre groups. By providing a black box style setting at their space in St. Johns Parish Hall, BrooklynONE offers the unique experience of providing its audience a first hand look at works in development, original content shows, and concert performances. It also allows local talent to flourish in a safe yet professional environment. BrooklynONE has produced works from playwrights of all ages and locations throughout the world, produced a feature length independent film and has produced many mixed media shows combining many different aspects of the arts. BrooklynONE maintains a strong relationship with the arts in its community with a focus on continuing to expand and grow outward as it creates opportunities for artists in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
