Western North Carolina- Since 2003, The Hope Chest for Women has awarded over $200,000.00 in assistance and helped an estimated 1000 women in the WNC community. We were founded to relieve some of the burden created by the cost of breast or gynecological cancer treatment. We need community help to raise money for financial assistance for women in all 22 counties of Western North Carolina living with breast or gynecological cancers. %u201CEliminating financial barriers to enable women to continue treatment can simply equal providing gas money to get to appointments or medical bill assistance for some clients%u201D, stated Sara Shuster, Executive Director, of the Hope Chest for Women.
