CHANGING GENERATION PRODUCTIONS
COMPANY PROFILE
Changing Generations productions is a theater production company that is founded on one simple principle. To produce entertainment that will change future generations. It is on this basic principle that six successful plays have been produced. These plays are designed to educate and entertain the entire family and thus vulgar language is excluded from each production. This production company is quickly becoming a power in the northwest and soon the entire nation will be aware of its name.
Founded in 2002 by Anthony Davis, Kevin and Jason Fredericks, Changing Generation is known for its hilarious yet relevant stage plays. Each production brings about great success and each audience member walks away with a message. These gentlemen are not afraid to tackle important topics in a manner that is suitable for all ages.
Changing Generation produced plays are not your typical run of the mill stage plays. Unlike its counterparts these plays tend to focus on more than the superficial subject matter that has become the template for urban theater. They have touched on the reasons many children grow up without their biological father in the astounding drama No Good Men. They also explored the struggles adolescents are faced with in the hilarious comedy Weekend at Clayton and Earls. This approach has gained the attention of audience members while leaving them with a desire to change. These reactions are the driving force behind the engine of Changing Generation Productions.
This type of commitment to change a generation was best exhibited in 2006 in Joliet, Illinois. While performing a mini-tour of the hit drama No Good men, Changing Generation offered a free seminar on breaking into to the entertainment industry to a group of students attending the Job Corps facility. After performing and meeting with students one on one the principal of the school remarked, "We have brought countless entertainment in for these kids and no one. I repeat no one was able to keep their attention like you did!." This displays the company's true focus on actually making a difference with each production instead of solely focusing on profits reaped.
Changing Generation Productions have and will continue to be a breath of fresh air to the urban theater marketplace. Among their most recent successful productions are: Weekend at Clayton and Earls, No Good Men, A Thanksgiving Special, Slavery: A Deeper Look, and What is My Purpose?
