Tualatin Riverkeepers (TRK) is a nonprofit organization working to protect and restore Oregon's Tualatin River System. Last year over volunteers contributed 10,000 hours to TRK projects including nature education, habitat restoration, paddle trips and advocacy.
10,000 people have participated in TRK volunteer led paddle trips, many for the first time.
This year TRK will work to restore nearly 250 ares of flood plan habitat on the Tualatin River, protecting water quality, reducing flooding and creating homes for wildlife.
Advocacy efforts are currently focused on stopping urban stormwater pollution from reaching our neighborhood streams.
Volunteer Naturalists will lead 1,000 kids on nature field trips this year. Day camp programs will be offered for the first time in Tigard and Hillsboro.
