With all of the misinformation - or downright lack of information! - out there about those who work within the sex industry, its no wonder folks have a difficult time wrapping their heads around the exchange of fantasy for money between consenting adults. As we all can logically agree upon, education is one of the most effective means by which to combat stigma, stereotype, and fear. But where does the average person turn to learn about sex work?
Andre Shakti is a veteran sex worker who has successfully operated within a multitude of industry genres, including - but not limited to - stripping, professional domination, webcam modeling, and porn performance. In Sex Work: Everything Youre Scared to Ask!, Andre will facilitate a forum that acts as a safe space for ALL of your burning questions, no matter how stupid or silly!

PRESENTER:
Andre Shakti is a sex educator, performer, advice columnist and professional slut living in Baltimore, MD. She is devoted to normalizing alternative desires, destigmatizing sex workers and their clients, and not taking herself too seriously. Andre wrestles mediocre white men into submission and is the reigning polyamory pundit at her weekly non-monogamy advice column "I Am Poly(amorous) & So Can You!", which you can visit - and submit questions to! - via IAmPoly.net. She also hosts her weekly sex education web series "Let's Go LIVE with Andre Shakti!" Tuesday/Sunday evenings on Facebook Live and runs #SANCTUARY Virtual $trip Club Thursday/Saturday evenings on Zoom.
Andre frequently lectures, coaches and advises on the intersecting issues of sexual health, pleasure politics, allyship, trauma, sex worker rights, non-monogamy and queerness. When not working, Andre can typically be found marathoning "Law & Order: SVU" under a chaotic pile of partners and pitbulls, and yes, she knows how problematic that show is.
