"An Evening of Song" with Edward Huls and Eunjoo Lee
The Bemidji Symphony Orchestra presents guest soloist baritone Ed Huls, along with mezzo-soprano Eunjoo Lee, in "An Evening of Song" on Saturday evening, May 4th at 7:00 pm at Calvary Lutheran Church in Bemidji. BSO Music Director Dr. Beverly Everett will accompany. Admission is free.
Edward Huls, a national finalist in the Metropolitan Opera auditions, has appeared with the Chicago Lyric Opera and New York City Opera and made his Carnegie Hall debut with Brahms' Requiem. Mr. Huls performed the role of Germont in La Traviata, Marcello in La Boheme, and Escamillo in Carmen with New York City Opera National Company. He lives in New Jersey.
Along with the Operatic stage, Ms. Lee enjoys the concert venue. In concert and oratorio repertoire, Ms. Lee has appeared as a soloist in a variety of repertoire including the Charpentier's Te Deum, and Mass in C of Beethoven at Carnegie Hall with Mid- America Productions. With the Peniel Symphony Orchestra in New York, she has performed Handel''s Messiah, the Mass in C of Beethoven, and Mozart Requiem at Avery fisher Hall. She has been heard as a frequent soloist at Lincoln Center in New York.
