Surrey Symphony Society Presents Sounds of the Season Holiday Concert

The Surrey Symphony Society celebrates the sounds of the season with performances by more than 100 youth musicians who make up the Junior Strings, Intermediate Orchestra, and Youth Orchestra on Sunday, December 11 at 7pm, Chandos Pattison Auditorium, 10238 168th Street.
Tickets are $18/adults and $12/student, seniors and alumni.
Joyous music performed will include Mendelssohns Scottish Symphony No. 3 in A minor, Op. 56 by the Surrey Youth Orchestra under the direction of conductor Joel Stobbe.
The Intermediate Orchestra, directed by Ben Goheen, performs Bachs beautiful Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 in F Major, Gustavs Finale-The Dargason and a medley from Les Miserables.
The Junior Strings, led by conductor Andrea Taylor, perform We Wish You A Merry Christmas, Mozarts Andante Grazioso from Violin Concerto No. 4 and
Celebrating 40 years of providing opportunities for young musicians, the Surrey Symphony Society offers musical training for youth ages 7 20 with some of Canadas most exceptional professional musicians. Students from across the Lower Mainland partake in orchestra rehearsals, chamber music programs, and public performances throughout the school year.
