Triassic Cuddle (SCR/DIR Iulia Teodora Turicianu, ROMANIA, 2024, 5:28. Animation.) A small prehistoric amphibian goes on a journey with the goal of finding its mate. (In Romanian with English subtitles.)
Re-rooted (SCR/DIR Christian Spurling/Delphine Coudray, IRELAND, 2025, 6:31. Animation/Satire.) We have a question to pose to the World and we chose to do so through a meticulous, hand-crafted paper animation, tackling pressing issues such as Legacy and the Environment. "ReRooted" tells the story of Sam, a bored warehouse worker who dreams of being a successful animator. One day, she comes across an advertisement for ReRooted, a company that offers eco-friendly cremation services, allowing its customers to become a tree after they die. Intrigued, she purchases a green burial plot and takes steps to drastically change her life. This tragicomedy explores the unending cycle of life and death in contrast with our attempts to make our mark. The animation is a mix of papercraft, digital 2D animation, live action and pixelation. It asks us to look at our lifestyles as individuals without forgetting the global impact of much bigger entities. (New York City premiere.)
White Sun (DIR/SCR Layan Aljambi, USA, 2025. Dance fantasy film. 6:43) White Sun follows two opposing forceslight and darkmoving through a quiet, shifting landscape. What begins as admiration slowly becomes desperation, as the dark figure feeds off the light. Set between an open meadow and a dense forest, the film explores vulnerability, and the unraveling of connection through movement and atmosphere.
Muntjac (DIR/SCR Finn Darrell. UK, 2025, experimental, 2456). At the door of an ancient forest, Sinus loses his newfound friends and descends into a frenzied trip towards the depths of his psyche. Blind wizards, clouds of bees, and giddy demons - all manner of evils await him in the shadows. In this darkness, will he ever find the elusive other half - Möbius?
Gentle Wind (SCR/DIR Marta Arjona/Maite Blasco, SPAIN, 2023, color, 8:00. Dance film). A young student becomes frustrated by realizing that she knows the names of many battles and fronts in the Spanish Civil War but knows little about the feelings and emotions of those who lived through the conflict. This leads her to continue researching and discovering the Romanceros de guerra ( War Ballads) that will take her on a personal journey that she will want to share with the world.
The Anjiro - Sic Fiat Lux Nam Homines per Deo Damnati Ego Illis Novi Promethei Huius Mundi (SCR/DIR Andriaminosoa Hary Joel Rakotovelo, MADAGASCAR, 2024, 7:37. Animation Satire). In the Republic of Anjiro, the electricity that once ensured the peoples prosperity suddenly vanishes, plunging the nation into an age of darkness. A young girl, who had always dreamed of seeing this light, is visited by one of the last remaining functional electric artifacts. Together, they embark on a journey to uncover the true cause of this dark age. (US premiere)
