USDA National Resource Conservation Service offers programs to small acreage farmers to increase the profitability of their operations. Whether you're farming 50 acres or .5 acres, NRCS has options for your farm to improve soil health, increase productivity or extend your season. Both their traditional NRCS programs or Urban Agriculture Programs offer options for every farm.
Join Sean McDonagh and Rebecca Anderson from NRCS and learn how to take advantage of these practices and get enrolled. In addition, Kitsap Conservation District received funding to assist landowners to assist landowners connecting with NRCS programs and the application process.
Sean McDonagh is a Resource Conservationist on the Washington NRCS Puget Sound Team serving Kitsap & Mason Counties. He is based in Bremerton.
Rebecca Anderson Bellanca is the Washington State NRCS Small Farms & Urban Agriculture Specialist.
