BASIC CLAWHAMMER BANJO TECHNIQUES / WORKSHOP with Jon Whitney!
The always delightful banjo player and creator, Jon Whitney, presents a 2-hour seminar on basic clawhammer banjo techniques, aimed at musicians who play a stringed instrument and who are interested in adding clawhammer banjo style to their musical skill set.

The seminar will cover the frailing stroke, and various melodic techniques, including hammer on, pull off, drop thumb, and slides.

Participants should have some basic skills in playing a fretted instrument such as banjo, guitar, or mandolin.

Each participant should bring a five-string banjo.

This seminar will be limited to ten participants at a maximum, in order for each to get some individual attention.

A $20 fee will be charged to each participant, and the proceeds will be split between the sponsoring organization and the presenter.
