Fiddler on the Roof
Newburyport High School presents its annual musical, Fiddler on the Roof. With a book by Joseph Stein, music by Jerry Bock, and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, this classical musical is sure to leave you with "happiness and tears."
Directed by NHS theatre teachers Stephanie Phillips and Lisa Zaleski, the production features over 50 students in the cast and crew. Don't miss this timeless story of a father reconciling old traditions with new challenges as he raises his five daughters in a changing world.
Fiddler on the Roof premiered on Broadway in 1964 and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. Since then it's been revived on Broadway five times, made into a major motion picture, and toured all over the world.
