Raising Ukrainian Awareness feat Displaced
Its been over a year since Russias invasion of Ukraine, and accounts of the atrocities happening there continue to stream out. Its important that we recognize the struggle and stories of the people who escaped and the ones of those that still remain. During this special event, hosted by Susanne Yatim Aslam, well talk to families who have escaped to the United States and hear how dramatically their lives have changed. Well also screen the World Premiere of the short documentary, Displaced, directed by Gil Cates Jr., that tells the story of one such family.
