BIG BUD
Soundtrax Recordings / UK
++~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~++
Big Budthe man, the mythmusic producer, DJ, label boss. Since his first release in 1994 he has been writing and producing his own music which helped to shape the genre of Liquid Drum and Bass. His etherial sounds blended with reggae bits, tribal tones, and unforgiving basshave been played across the globe for near three decades. He has released over 100 tracks, including 8 albums (infinity+infinity, Late Night Blues, Producer 7, Fear of Flying, Fear of Flying Mix Project, Kool Beanz, Connections, and Blue & Green) which have been huge contributors to drum and bass and beyond. From his first release up to his latest, he has consistently produced soulful and emotional dance music to critical acclaim.

Early onafter hearing the emergence of tracks with combined with breakbeatshe decided to get involved in producing his own music. The Big Bud sound has been influenced by over 40 years of listening to Jazz, Funk, Soul and Reggae. Along with peers like Nookie, PFM, LTJ Bukem, Blu Mar Ten, Blame and Peshay, these intelligent, jazzy, signature sounds gave rise to a unique style of DnB that continues to thrive today. This is music without boundaries, music for the soul, music for the dance floor. From attending jazz funk all-dayers back in the eighties, thru the big raves of the early nineties, to todays best drum and bass clubs, he has always been involved with quality, soulful music and making people move.

Having released tracks on various labels including Innerground Recordings, Creative Source, Good Looking, Nuphonic, Moving Shadow, ParadoxMusic, Vibez, Basswerk, Demand, Interphase and more, he also hones his craft through his own label, SOUNdTRAX (est. in 2003). Always open to the next generation of artists, SOUNdTRAX has brought attention to a host of fresh talent from across the globe, supporting the first vinyl releases for artists like Spectrasoul, Furney and RoyGreen & Protone. To date, SOUNdTRAX has released over 50 singles from the industrys heavy hitting producers such as Zero T, Blame, Klute, Edward Oberon, Greg Packer, Noisia, Derrick + Tonika to name a few.

While tending family and varied projects, you never know what this legend-in-the-game will be up to next. Stay tuned for his next release on OKBRON RECORDS, (a new label specializing in lost tunes from the mid 90s)!

BIG BUD is always on the move in different parts of the world and has performed in over 30 countries from the Kazantip Festival in Ukraine, to the Exodus Festival in Australia. With recent appearances in Finland, Greece, Romania, Serbia, and of course at Sun and Bass in Italy, he continues to spread the love and the SOUNdTRAX vibe representing the music which he has spent a lifetime being involved with and creating.

MC QUESTIONMARK
JUICE-PDX / XCELLERATED-LA / LONDON-UK
++~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~++
Hailing originally from London, MC Questionmark is one of the most recognized voices to be found across the landscape of the North American drum and bass scene.
Born and raised in Southeast London, Questionmark, (aka Devon Andrew Morgan), moved to Los Angeles, California in 1987; encouraged by his parents to attend college stateside. Once settled in LA, Questionmark completed a degree in business administration at the LA Trade Tech College and Cal State University LA.
Growing up immersed in the acid house and techno scene that was blossoming in the UK in the early 90s, his time was split between the two countries. Influenced heavily by his Jamaican roots, he was drawn to deep reggae sounds like the Coxson Sound System (which Soul II Soul emerged from); and international rare grooves, soul and jazz. Attending his first Sunday Roast at its original location in Linford Studios, Questiomark was exposed to jungle through emerging heavy hitters like Fabio, Grooverider, Jumping Jack Frost, and DJ Ron. After hearing MC Moose, he was immediately drawn to drum and bass and the medium of emceeing.
Slowly finding his affinity for DnB, Questionmark connected to the early LA jungle scene through artists like R.A.W., who were playing the type of sound that he was craving. But there was no emcee. Hoping to bring a taste of London back to the U.S., he offered his services and never looked back. He became resident emcee at the first West Coast DnB weekly night Science (started by enthusiast/publisher of URB Magazine Raymond Roker), and hosted another Atmospheric night at the Viper Room. Over the years he had the opportunity to emcee many great events with pivotal artists in the genre like Krust, Dynamite MC, Doc Scott, Bryan Gee, Jumping Jack Frost, J Magick and LTJ Bukem. He grew his name and style over the next two decades, playing cities across the states like Honolulu, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Detroit, New York, Miami, Atlanta, Vancouver, BC., San Juan Puerto Rico, and many more.
Honing his craft and feeling a great response from the crowds, Questionmark has gone on to emcee (both locally and internationally) for huge influencers of the industry like Roni Size/Reprazent, Andy C, Ed Rush, Fierce, Nico, Trace, Bailey, Ink, John B, Bad Company, A Guy Called Gerald, DJ Rap, Jumping Jack Frost, Bryan Gee, Dom and Roland, Doc Scott, Simon "Bassline" Smith at the Planet V parties for V Recordings. Staying relevant to the stateside scene, Questionmark has tracked down some of the best shows, emceeing for domestic talent such as DJ Craze, Dieselboy, Dara, DB, AK1200, UFO!, Sage, Hive, Phantom 45, Fury, Danny the Wildchildthe list goes on. His passion for the music and soul behind DnB has led this journey.
Says Questionmark, I want to take this music to the masses. Drum and bass is one of the first genres that came from the streets of London, intertwined with roots from Caribbean sounds mixed with the England vibe. I have always wanted to represent these underground sounds.I want people all over to know that even the ghetto has an artistic impact worldwide."
Based now in Portland, Oregon, and working on a variety of creative pursuits and music projects, you can catch Questionmark all over the states, as a resident emcee of JUICE Drum and Bass, or pond-hopping to the UK at select events.

DEFINITION POSITIVE
DnBradio / JUICE / Salem / PDX
++~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~++
After broad exposure to Jazz, Salsa, and R&B growing up, Donahue Holland aka Definition: Positive learned to appreciate the deeper side of some of these genres, and how it affects and drives emotion. His passion for music and mixing exploded in the Los Angeles rave scene during the mid 90s, nurturing this new love for electronic music. Once experiencing Drum and Bass, he shifted gears permanently; realizing that this style was the missing part of his musical soul.

Former resident DJ at Nova Express Cafe, Futurebound Radio, LA, and LiquidBass.net, Def Pos became an LA staple representing these unique sounds. Since relocating to Salem, guest appearances have included Bassdrive, Signal Flow Radio LA, DnBTV and countless live performances all around Oregon. Some of these heavy-hitters have included the Bachelors of Science, Artificial Intelligence, Ben Soundscape, ASIDES, Calculon, MC Question Mark, Doc Scott, Bladerunner, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, LTJ Bukem, LSB, and DRS.

Host of the weekly radio show Atmospheriq Tides, Thursdays 9-10pm PST on DNBRadio, and resident artist at JUICE! Drum and Bass nights in Portland, Def Pos delivers soulful grooves and funky baselines with a level of quality and style not to be missed.
