African American Celebration X LOFTrecital
LOFTrecital is BACK!
Join us for a special evening of celebration as we kick off Black History Month! Traditionally, black composers have only been noted and recognized for their arrangements of traditional spirituals. This program opens the door to classical and contemporary pieces by artists like Florence Price, Margaret Bonds, Harry Burleigh, Robert Owens and Shawn Okpebholo. Don't miss this gorgeously vibrant program!
Returning to LOFTrecital on the heels of his historic and triumphant performance of Papageno at the Metropolitan Opera is none other than baritone WILL LIVERMAN. Collaborative piano virtuoso and LOFTrecital debut artist JONATHAN KING joins him on the keys.
Curated program-inspired refreshments will be served.
To ensure the accessibility and sustainability of LOFTrecital, we are proud to offer Pay-What-You-Can ticket pricing
