This will mark the FIRST EVER African American Film Festival in the region. This community-strengthening event will take place on December 27th, at the State Museum.
We are also proud to announce that we will have Michael K. Williams in the house with us for our VIP Red Carpet Meet and Greet, Movie Screening, and Q and A session.
We will be highlighting the films, "Raised in the System", featuring two time Emmy Nominated, Michael Kenneth Williams, and "The Hate U Give."
This collaborative effort of Sankofa African American Theater Company and Sankofa 21 Institute will be tackling the issues of the prison pipeline, as well as the injustices within the criminal justice system.
