The Charlotte Harbor Office of Film & Digital Media and Asbury Shorts/USA present this special event hosted by The Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce when it returns to the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center (Punta Gorda, FL.) on
Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

The Punta Gorda Short Film Festival has sold out every year since its inception in 2015. Last year we had over 900 attendeesour biggest audience to date!
If the laughter and non-stop applause is any indication, this show is a SMASH HIT and Florida Weekly agrees as it was voted the PGSFF Best Night at the Movies in 2017.

We are thrilled John Wright, President of the PGCC will once again serve as MC for the evening. Director Doug LeClaire, created Asbury Shorts USA in 1981 to celebrate Independent short films. Nanette Leonard, a Punta Gorda resident with over 35 years of experience in the entertainment industry, serves as Executive Producer. &

ASBURY SHORTS (AS/USA), now in its 38th season, is New York Citys longest running concert of independently produced short films. The 2 hour program features selected independently produced short films including Oscar nominated and "Best of Show" awardees from US and International film festivals. Academy Award nominated director Jason Reitman (JUNO, Up in the Air, Thank You for Smoking, Young Adult) calls Asbury Shorts: The best short film show Ive ever seen.
