Beacon Fairy Walk is a walking theatre production incorporating Beacons beautiful landscape. Local artists and community members create the set along the magical path of the play at Beacon's University Settlement Camp.
Eight actors play characters representing different parts of the forest. For example, Spruce is the Fairy of the Trees and keeps watch over the forest while keeping the other Fairies grounded. The show explores the themes of conflict resolution, finding ones voice, friendship, and doing whats right in the face of fear. When the Worry Witches start to steal the fairy dust from the trees, will the Fairies come together to restore the color and magic to Beacon? Come see the show to find out!
Beacon Fairy Walk is directed by Erin Buckley with music by Todd Hulet. The goal of the project is to bring visual and performing artists together with the community to create an experience that highlights the talent and natural beauty of the Hudson Valley.
