BBQ on the Bend

The 4th Annual BBQ on the Bend is set for September 21st, 2019!

A people's choice competition that features some of Virginia's best bbq teams smoking up pulled pork for you to taste and rate your favorite! Proceeds from this year's BOTB will benefit the The Freedom Fund; whose main mission is to express gratitude for and improve the lives of military members, first responders and their families. The Freedom Fund fulfills its mission by raising funds and visibility for tax exempt organizations that promote the health, education and well being of military services members, first responders and their families..

Our Competitors will be cooking for a great cause and the chance to win a grand prize of $1000. Cookers will begin their smoking on Friday night and the gates will open to the public at 11am on Saturday for tasting and judging.

All of this family-friendly fun takes place on the riverbank at Reeling & Rafting's campground next to the Scottsville public boat landing. Throughout the day we will have awesome auction items, local brew and live music by local bands. It's going to be a smoking good time so spread the word and we can't wait to see you there!
