Here We Go 'Round! A Musical Fantasy
The Midway is coming to Randolph's Stetson Hall in August! The Summer Theatre 2019 for community Youth at First Congregational Church, UCC in Randolph will present Here We Go 'Round! A Musical Fantasy, the first New England production of a show that played off-off-Broadway in New York city in 1967. The composer, David Henkelmann, is now a resident of Randolph and a member of the congregation and has been persuaded to bring the show out of his theater-trunk for a Massachusetts production.
Here We Go 'Round! is a musical fantasy that is performed in the round, centering on a merry-go-round whose décor --- animals, mirrors, gargoyles, etc. --- come to life and engage the surprised riders in musical conversations about where they all may be heading in life.
This summer's production is First Congregational Church's fifth summer production, featuring a seasoned troupe of teen and young adult performers from Randolph, Holbrook, Quincy and Braintree.
