"ChamberSoul: In the Moment" House Concert - Durham

A COMMISSIONED DOCU-FILM SHORT ABOUT CHAMBERSOUL
After a year of discussions and preparations, a project has been identified that will give Shana the opportunity to not only express her artistic vision, but to more fully express her artistic self by documenting the creative and collaborative processes that she continues to develop through her self-defined "ChamberSoul".
The song commissioned for the film, "In the Moment", is Shana's newest composition and, in her own words, "the absolute embodiment of ChamberSoul in both composition and performance". The film will document the NC origins of Shana's ChamberSoul and the process of taking a song from inception, arrangement, rehearsal, and performance, culminating in the recording of the finished arrangement at Manifold, an internationally-recognized, state-of-the-art studio complex in Pittsboro, NC on December 10 - 12, 2018.

WHAT'S THE HOUSE CONCERT FOR?
The filming of "In the Moment" will take place at Manifold over the course of 3 days, employing the talents of 9 professional musicians and 1 string arranger. Manifold co-owners Michael and Amy Tiemann are primary sponsors/executive producers of the project, having donated all studio recording and filming efforts. Manifolds chief engineer, Ian Schreier, is contributing his time and exquisite talents to record, mix, and co-produce In the Moment.
Shana has already raised $5000 of the $9K necessary to fairly compensate her musicians; house concert proceeds will help cover the remaining personnel fee balance and travel fees for two out-of-state musicians.
"In the Moment" will feature:
Rhythm Section: guitar, piano, bass, drums, percussion
Strings: cello & violin/viola
Vocals: background harmonies
Featured Flute Solo: Nicole Mitchell (Doris Duke Artist Award recipient)
Most of the musicians who will appear on "In the Moment" are NC-based:
James Wallace - piano; Peter Kimosh - bass; Stephen Coffman - drums; Beverly Botsford - percussion; Nate Wingfield - guitar (Las Vegas); Paula Peroutka - cello; Omar Ruiz-Lopez - violin/viola; Lizzy Ross - vocals; Nicole Mitchell - flute; Jim Crew - string arrangement.

THE HOUSE CONCERT EXPERIENCE
Your ticket will include an intimate house concert featuring original songs and arrangements by ChamberSoul cellist/singer-songwriter Shana Tucker and her trio, including an unplugged performance of the commissioned song, In the Moment. Light fare and refreshments provided. The concert take place at the home of Treat Harvey and Regina de Lacy in Durham, NC. Concert address/location will be emailed upon ticket purchase.
Guests are invited to contribute at additional levels, with the following gifts associated:
$50: Advance viewing (via private link) of docu-film short; advance download of In the Moment song
$75: Above PLUS name listed in video/audio credits
$100: Above PLUS invitation to attend In the Moment recording sessions at Manifold studio in Pittsboro, NC
$200: Tell Shana what your favorite song is and she will send you a video version of it, ChamberSoul style...PLUS all of the above.
