Java, Jokes & Jazz 2
Down to Earth & J. Sov present Java, Jokes & Jazz 2!
Back by popular demand! JAVA, JOKES & JAZZ is a clean comedy and jazz show featuring comedy from Jonathan Slocumb and music from Chantae Cann. The show also features a live band and selected artists from the Dallas Metroplex.
Everyone has their brand of humor, but it takes a good comedian to break a choosy crowd into irresistible laughter. It takes a great one, however to do with clean comedy. Jonathan Slocumb is just that great. Engaging, authentic, and seasoned; this crowd-pleasing Comedian, Host and Actor is FUNNY, BUT HE AINT NO JOKE! Setting a record precedence for clean comedy, Slocumb left both Def Comedy Jam and Comedy Central stages with rousing ovations. His accomplishments include a recording deal with Warner Brothers, roles on The Steve Harvey Show and Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns, a feature on Jamie Foxx's Laffapalooza comedy series, the recent Aspire Networks Groundbreaking Comedies and much more. Always fashionable, the quintessential host, Slocumb keeps audiences energetic, engaged, and laughing; a timeless element that connects us all. He is comedy's CLASSIC MAN!
Chantae Cann is the charismatic influence with a voice that transcends through time. Chantae's music blends the exploratory sounds of Jazz with the feel good vibes of Soul, which makes for a mixture that is quite enticing. It is her hearts desire to simply inspire, uplift and encourage the lives of others through music. With the release of her debut album "Journey to Golden" in March 2016 at #1 on the iTunes Jazz Charts and #7 on the Jazz Billboard Charts, Chantae's solo career has started off on a promising note. Chantae's sophomore studio album "Sol Empowered" was released October 13, 2017 and earned the #8 spot on Jazz Billboard Charts! Chantae is not a novice to the industry. She has been blessed to travel the world as a background vocalist (10+ years) with P.J. Morton, Gramps Morgan, and most notably India Arie. Shes had the tremendous honor of collaborating with artists/bands such as, Snarky Puppy, Jonathan McReynolds and The Foreign Exchange.
