Hope Dunbar performs at Open Range Concerts
It's real life music. It's the kind of stuff that sticks with you. Her show feels like hanging out with a friend, but also kinda like being invited to sit at the cool kids table, but not in an awkward way... Like in an awesome way that makes you feel like you actually belong there. Hope Dunbar has been touring the greater Midwest for six years bringing with her the songs that tell her story and the stories of her friends and neighbors. Known for her relaxed and personable demeanor on stage and her heartbreakingly true songs, her shows are a journey into the New American Prairie spirit. The kind of spirit that digs in and refuses to leave, that survives hardship and lays claim to the land. Her latest album, "Three Black Crows" is described as a "small masterpiece" and is getting national recognition on folk radio stations and music websites alike. Grammy-nominated songwriter, Darrell Scott, makes an appearance on the record with Dunbar singing on the track, "Better than Ever." What better venue than the historic New Lancaster General Store, to showcase this artist. The old store, established in 1874, is now the home of Middle Creek Winery. Wine and wine slushies will be available for purchase, along with local art and gifts, as well as antiques.
