As a singer-songwriter, Matt Venuti is one of a kind. He's also a poet, a storyteller and masterful instrumentalist whose lyrics speak from the heart of the road and the rhythm of lifean honest, soul-filled and often humorous musical journey that will touch your heart in a beautiful way. The music can be described as mystical and entrancing; beautifully melodic with hypnotic grooves. Matt plays the Hang and other rare and captivating melodic-percussive acoustic instruments created in Switzerland, as well as the highly expressive and dynamic Electronic Valve Instrument (EVI) wind synthesizer, He's among the earliest players to explore these instruments and he tours nearly year-round, sharing his musical gifts in venues that range from house concerts to concert halls. He enhances his solo shows with a looping device that allows him to create lush layers of cinematic and other-worldly sounds, effects and melodies...all performed in the moment and never pre-recorded.
