3rd Annual Hot Buttered Rum Halloween Bash
The School of Adaptive Agriculture hopes you will join us for our 3rd Annual Hot Buttered Rum Halloween bash where Willits comes together to celebrate their community. This wild and crazy costume party has sold out the Little Lake Grange in Willits every year and we're sure this year will be no exception.
The nights festivities will include a boot stompin' dance floor, costume contest with prizes, silent auction, local beer and wine for sale and amazing dinner and snack food featuring produce from local produce (also for sale).
The live music for the evening will start with the creamy, soulful sound of the Rainbow Girls. This acoustic trio's sound features rich harmonies, ageless songwriting, and a soulful, bluesy sound at its rawest form. Rainbow Girls is a collaborative of songwriters, multi-instrumentalists, vocalists, and California natives who know how to enhance your desire to let loose and dance while being fully aware of the pain of the human experience, though, remarkably inspired to alleviate it. https://www.rainbowgirlsmusic.com/music
The highlight of the evening as always will be when Hot Buttered Rum takes the stage. Hot Buttered Rum lives for a good time, and a mindful recklessness settles in whenever these five guys step on stage. From Anchorage to Miami, the groups onstage chemistry fuels the love fest that is a live Butter show. Rooted in the trajectory of west coast bluegrass, Hot Buttered Rum plays what has been described as Californias own acoustic music.
Hot Buttered Rum, originally conceived on a backcountry trip of high school and college buddies as a way to re-imagine Appalachian string band music from the vantage point of the High Sierra, has since found its way into the hearts, minds, and bodies of thousands. The group has toured the nation more times than its members can count, and yet still holds true to its goal to make California's own acoustic music, full of desert fire, glacial snowmelt and everything in between.

All proceeds of the evening will go to the School of Adaptive Agriculture. This non-profit school is a vocational training center that equips the current and next generation with essential skills in the science, art and business of food production. Through our workshops and residential practicum program, the School of Adaptive Agriculture has gained a reputation for being one of the premier agriculture schools in Northern California.
