When Alex Fam isn't rocking out on her violin, she writes songs. Alex has been playing violin since she was 5 years old. When she was given a ukulele, she started writing and singing her own songs. Alex combines violin, ukulele and voice in her performances and recordings. Alex hopes that her songs connect with others the way that so many other musicians' music has connected with her. She is also passionate about using music as a driving force for social change and is involved in social justice projects in the Boston area.

Janna Maria Fröhlich (Coordinator of the Eliot Street Soirée) is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who combines lever harp, guitar, and keyboard with her own evocative lyrics. Her goal in performing a song is to allow the listener to experience transcendence, healing, and awakening. Trained in classical voice and experienced in many genres (early music, jazz, Celtic, folk, and contemporary), she brings a soaring vocal range to her songs. She is one half of the duo HeartSoulVoice Ensemble (with Joy Grimes, fiddle).

Michael Gutierrez-May is a singer-songwriter who has been involved with the folk and acoustic music scene for the past thirty years. He will be sharing songs from his brand new album, Firefly In A Jar Of Emotion, at this performance.

Taylor Holland draws on her background in traditional music to craft quietly powerful songs reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Vashti Bunyan. Taylor performs regularly as a solo artist and as half of Hawthorn, a Boston-based folk duo.

Phil Holub has a way of writing that is quirky and catchy; fun yet introspective. Skillful guitar playing and jazzy influences keep the music modern and exciting.

Rachel Marie is a cunning wordsmith, and precociously sophisticated. Clear and mature vocal production colors songs that are relevant, relatable, and far-reaching. The social awareness of folk meets the introspection of the singer-songwriter tradition with a moderate dose of snark. This Bethlehem, PA native has made regular appearances at Musikfest and at the acclaimed folk venue Godfrey Daniels where she has shared the stage with Antje Duvekot and the Kennedys.
