Ohayo-Ohio II. : Short Film "ORIZURU 2015," Symposium and Paper Crane Making
Orizuru 2015, is a tale of modern day friendship inspired by a picture book, Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes.
This film was selected at Hiroshima International Film Festival in 2015 as Hiroshima Eye.Orizuru 2015 was shown at the Laemmle Royal, LA in a US Premiere in May 27, 2016 for one week. This date is the same as President Obama's historic visit to Hiroshima City. It has been also screened in other places including United Nations, NY and Harvard University, MA. This film has been endorsed by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) as an educational video and film. (Sep 7th 2016)
The film screening will be followed by a symposium about promotion of reconciliation, cross-cultural understanding, tolerance and compassion.
