"The Godfather"
Director Frances Ford Coppola's masterwork, "The Godfather" will unfold its deadly family drama against the stunning backdrop of the historic theatre. VLA's Alison Martino, whose father Al Martino played Johnny Fontane in the film, will open the evening with a conversation alongside special guest, LA Times film critic Kenneth Turan, at 7:30 p.m.; the screening will begin at 8 p.m. Turan will meet film fans and sign copies of his new book "Not To Be Missed: Fifty-Four Favorites From A Lifetime of Film," which features a chapter on "The Godfather," in the lobby of the Million Dollar Theatre between 7:00-7:30 p.m
