Mandala ~ Wisdom Songs and Mystical Poetry
Please join Steve Walters, Eric Schneider, and Prema Maja Rode for a heart-opening evening of Wisdom songs and Mystical Poetry. You can leave your spiritual Google maps at the door. This night we will take the pathless path into heart of the Beloved, into our very own heart.
Steven Walters, an internationally loved singer/songwriter and recording artist, and a local Santa Cruz treasure, will play from his extensive repertoire of original music---sweet, clever, funny and wise. Steven offers the gift of his refined musical ability on guitar, his honey-sweetened vocal presence, and his unending capacity to put the inexpressible into words.
Eric will share the fierce and playful wisdom poetry of the Sufi and other mystics---Rumi, Hafiz, Kabir, Tukuram, Lalla, Goethe, and Adyashanti. Eric has memorized over 100 poems and, like a mystic Rumi jukebox, will heartfully spout poems on just about any spiritual subject. Steven will accompany him on guitar.
Prema weaves mystical music and poetry with a twist of rap and a healthy dash of humor. With poems that appeal to the childlike wonder in each of us, music that quiets the mind and speaks softly to the heart, and wisdom raps that touch both the heart and funny-bone, her original expressions inspire, entertain, and honor the depth of our true nature.
This intimate candlelit evening will take place at Eric's beautiful home in Santa Cruz. Seating is limited.
