Handel's MESSIAH
The most famous work of Georg Friedrich Handel. Messiah has become an important Christmas staple for many people despite it having been written for performances closer to Easter. Based on verses from the King James Bible, this 53-movement oratorio takes nearly every possible element of musical beauty and plants it solely on the ears and hearts of listener and singer alike! If you've never taken in a Messiah performance, come and be taken in! For those of you who like to sing, you'll be encouraged to do so during the "Hallelujah Chorus" two-thirds of the way through the performance.
